A Boo Boo Princess Christmas Story

A tradition we started last year at our home is The Great Stocking Hunt! It all started because their stockings got to heavy to hang from the banister, so we had to figure out something else to do with them. We decided to hide them and have clues to help the girls find them.

It starts where the stockings should be and then the girls travel all over the house following the clues. This year I used leftover wrapping paper for the clues.

Are they in the fridge?

Let's check out our clue to see where to go next!

So many clues!

We found them.

Now, it's time to see what is inside!

We hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year!

Summer Memories!
I didn't get a lot of time to blog this Summer, so I am catching up now! I wanted to share some of the fun we had this summer with you.

The girls had an awesome time at Vacation Bible School at the beginning of the Summer.

They did a lot of swimming.

We went to a baseball game with our friends and Pie Pie got a foul ball!

We finally got to go on a family vacation to the beach.
This is Pants's first visit to the ocean!

We had a lot of fun relaxing and enjoying our break from school!
We hope you had a fun Summer too!
Smiles,
Nikki!

Simple Christmas

I am finally catching up on my blogging! December is not the best month for me, but I finally feel like the fog is lifting and I am back to what I call normal. Last Christmas I went all out and did lots of stuff, this year I decided to keep it simple. We still had fun!

This was one of the pictures taken by my fabulous sis-in-law Jessi! Pretty much speaks for itself!

The girls had a great time setting up the tree with Daddy.

Odd angle makes Daddy look like a GIANT!

Purplicious!

Pie Pie took this picture of Daddy and I.

Christmas!
This year Daddy and I decided to do a Stocking Scavenger Hunt!

Found them!

Pants got Daddy "Peanuts!".

Posing with the giant present.

Pants definitely liked it.
( For those who are curious, it is Barbie furniture.)

Daddy and my favorite breakfast! I assemble it the night before and pop it in the oven when I get up. Then it's like someone else made me breakfast!

We spent Christmas day with Daddy's family.
We played a fun new game called Telestrations and Apples to Apples.
We also ate lots of good food and Hello Dolly Cookies!

Right now I am feverishly reading children's chapter books!
Trying to find some new reading for Pie Pie!

The Oatmeal Rasin Cookie

This is a memory I shared with Pie Pie recently and she enjoyed it tremendously.
The year Pie Pie was one we spent Christmas living with Daddy's family. Their names are Grammy and Grumpy. I did not choose their grandparent names. They were chosen long before I came into the family. I do, however, enjoy their unique names!
It was shortly after Christmas day and we were playing a card game together. Grumpy was looking for whatever cookies he could find and Pie Pie was just roaming around. The only cookies Grumpy could find were oatmeal raisin. He is not fond of raisins. He actually calls them bugs. He did want to eat some cookies, so he decided to pick the bugs out and just eat the cookie part. He would place the "bugs" on the end of the table and Pie Pie would snatch them off and eat them. I, of course, had a laugh about the whole situation. That's what I call sharing!
So, if you ever see a smile on my face while I am eating an oatmeal raisin cookie that is the reason why!
