February

This February we got a lot of snow! The Princesses had fun building snowmen and running around in the snow. Pants especially loved the snow. We had a hard time getting her to come inside!

A Boo Boo Princess Christmas Story

A tradition we started last year at our home is The Great Stocking Hunt! It all started because their stockings got to heavy to hang from the banister, so we had to figure out something else to do with them. We decided to hide them and have clues to help the girls find them.

It starts where the stockings should be and then the girls travel all over the house following the clues. This year I used leftover wrapping paper for the clues.

Are they in the fridge?

Let's check out our clue to see where to go next!

So many clues!

We found them.

Now, it's time to see what is inside!

We hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year!

Smiles

If you need a smile today look no farther than this post! I personally need to be reminded daily of all the good things I have in my life.

Pants is so excited that she earns her own money! She had to have me take a picture of her, with her money made into a smiley face!

We had a Valentine's Day party last week. I set up a little photo area for fun pictures! I actually took pictures of my girls the night before the party. It was pajama night at AWANA!

I got one of them the day of the party too! I just love them in their pajamas though.

Pants's newest pose!

I hope your Valentine's Day was extra sweet and smiley!

Smiles,
Nikki!

The Peanut Butter Blossom Cookie

This past Christmas I asked my super-great friend Pammy what kind of cookies I could bake special for her. Cookies=Love! She picked the peanut butter blossom cookie. She actually said anything chocolate, but this was the first name of a cookie out of her mouth. (Later into her mouth!)

This cookie brought back many memories for me. I haven't made them in quite a while. They were my ultimate favorite growing up! My Mom made them and I ate them. First, I would bite off the point of the Kiss. Second, I would nibble the cookie part that extended around the Kiss. Last I would pop the rest into my mouth in one BIG bite. Yummy! I still eat them that way too.

This year Pie Pie got to help with the cookies. She got to unwrap the Kisses, (and eat some) roll the dough into balls and into the sugar. When the come out of the oven it's time to put in the Kiss. I love putting the Kisses into the warm cookie and making them melt a little, but not too much.

Pants, Pie Pie, Daddy and me loved eating theses special treats.
Thanks to Pam for the suggestion to make them!

Simple Christmas

I am finally catching up on my blogging! December is not the best month for me, but I finally feel like the fog is lifting and I am back to what I call normal. Last Christmas I went all out and did lots of stuff, this year I decided to keep it simple. We still had fun!

This was one of the pictures taken by my fabulous sis-in-law Jessi! Pretty much speaks for itself!

The girls had a great time setting up the tree with Daddy.

Odd angle makes Daddy look like a GIANT!

Christmas!
This year Daddy and I decided to do a Stocking Scavenger Hunt!

Found them!

Pants got Daddy "Peanuts!".

Posing with the giant present.

Pants definitely liked it.
( For those who are curious, it is Barbie furniture.)

Daddy and my favorite breakfast! I assemble it the night before and pop it in the oven when I get up. Then it's like someone else made me breakfast!

We spent Christmas day with Daddy's family.
We played a fun new game called Telestrations and Apples to Apples.
We also ate lots of good food and Hello Dolly Cookies!

Right now I am feverishly reading children's chapter books!
Trying to find some new reading for Pie Pie!
